Backpacks built for the way women work
We built our first women’s collection to solve a trade-off: A bag that looks beautiful is often uncomfortable, while one that carries well feels too technical, too masculine, or too ordinary
to fit where you want to go.
Contour and Arc are built on the belief that it never needed to be this way.
Troubadour's first backpacks engineered specifically for women.
The problem we're solving
Technical outdoor gear has had female-focused ergonomic engineering for decades, but not professional wear. Too often, professional women’s bags are simply scaled down versions of men’s bags.
Contour and Arc bring together the polish of considered design with the comfort of this outdoor-grade ergonomic engineering that's been missing from the professional world.

What engineered for women actually means
Narrower strap spacing to sit correctly on a female shoulder profile. A sculpted 3D back panel that follows the natural curve of the spine rather than sitting flat against it. Weight distribution that accounts for a different centre of gravity. Soft-touch finishes that don't mark clothing.
All decisions made at the start, not as an afterthought at the end.

Contour Backpack
Engineered for the full load: laptop, layers, gym kit, and everything in between in a sculpted, body-mapped silhouette that distributes weight evenly rather than accumulating it. A stylish, cleverly organised carry.
Inspired by Bauhaus, I became obsessed with the interplay between curves and straight lines, symmetry and asymmetry, order and disruption.

Arc Tote Backpack
For the day that opens with a meeting and ends with dinner the city. When the straps are tucked away, the Arc transforms into an elegant tote. But when comfort matters most, Arc's shoulder straps provide the freedom of hands-free carry without sacrificing style.
The Arc challenges everything a backpack is expected to look like. Its slim, sculpted silhouette sits close to the body, creating a distinctive and sophisticated shape.

Built responsibly
The kindest thing we can do for the planet is make a bag you'll never want to replace. If something wears, we'll mend it free for five years.
Drawing on our other designs, Contour and Arc use high-tech fabrics created from recycled water bottles-approximately 44 bottles per bag.
And we believe staying dry shouldn't come at a cost you can't see, so our weatherproofing skips the chemicals most bags rely on. No fluorocarbons.
After all, why compromise?
Two bags, made from the ground up for every version of your day.
